The Central Bank of Malta invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to provide part-time professional services related to its publications. The average number of hours involved will depend on the work assigned, but should not exceed an average of twenty hours per week. It is expected that the selected candidate will carry out duties both from the work station at the Bank during normal working hours, as well as remotely, as the need arises. The agreement for the provision of such services will be for a period of two years.
The role involves both the reviewing and editing of Bank publications including its Annual Report and Quarterly Reviews. It will in addition involve the validation of the economic concepts expressed in the documents being reviewed and ensure that the terminology used is correctly and clearly applied. The work may also include translations of technical papers or reports from English to Maltese and vice versa.
Interested applicants should have an honours degree in Economics as well as an excellent command of both English and Maltese with proven drafting abilities. Given the high profile of the Bank’s publications, applicants should be able to demonstrate that he/she has had a number of years experience in editing economic publications and texts.

Fees for the provision of the services should not be included in the application.
